Preparation for your studies

After graduation from secondary school, you might want to take a break for a while (to go abroad, for example). If so, the preparatory courses of the HSMW are perfect for you. You can refresh your Abitur or A-level knowledge within a few weeks of coming back from your travels.

This can also be helpful for people who have obtained the Fachhochschulreife from a Fachoberschule with a non-technical profile or who have completed a one-year apprenticeship. Of course, any and all students who want to refresh their knowledge before starting their studies are welcome. Don't worry: The content that awaits you in your studies at Mittweida builds on the education you gained in school. In addition, you can ask older students for support in tutorials.

The preparatory courses consist of four subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English. These can be completed individually or in full, with a small fee for each. Detailed information on content, registration, and costs can be found on the pre-course pages.
